Today Nokia unveiled the 5030 XpressRadio, a new entry-level music phone targeted at the world's emerging markets. In many parts of the world, especially those where people don't have ready access to personal computers, an FM radio is key when it comes to music enjoyment. Nokia appears to have recognized this, and has equipped the 5030 with the company's first FM radio with a built-in antenna, so that it is no longer necessary to attach a wired headset when consumers wish to make use of the radio function.
Nokia claims that the 5030 has an excellent loudspeaker and is equipped with one-key access to the radio, which can be used when the device sits on its side. Other features on this affordable handset include the ability for it to be easily shared between multiple people, as well as support for standard SMS messaging and the inclusion of a talking clock and alarm.
